James Hetfield’s hot rods on display

There is an annual automobile show in the San Francisco Bay Area, and local rock star and hot rod enthusiast James Hetfield of Metallica usually has some of his impressive collection on display.

This year was no exception: the event was held at the Cow Palace, the famous venue which was also the sight of the rehearsals for the current Death Magnetic tour. This famed venue has held concerts by Elvis Presley, Metallica, KISS, U2, and many more.

James Hetfield had two vehicles on display this year: a 1937 Ford titled the Crimson Ghost.

And a 1956 Ford truck titled Str8 Edge. As in 2007, James also won awards for his cars this year.
