Philip Sayce

Peace Machine
Provogue Records

Genre: Bluesrock

You don’t have to be a musical innovator to come up with a great album. Philip Sayce who was born in Wales, grew up in Toronto and lives in the States, proves it with his debut Peace Machine. Despite his age he already worked with people like Jeff Healey and can be heard on four cd’s of Melissa Etheridge.

Peace Machine was recorded in the autumn of 2005 and was released independently. This album now is released on Provogue Records throughout Europe. In the meantime Sayce has been working on new material for a brandnew solo album to be released early in 2010. In September of this year Sayce will come out on his very first European tour which will also see him perform at the German TV-show Rockpalast.

Peace Machine is a great cd full of (hard)rock and blues, with dirty fuzzguitars and songs sounding like Lenny Kravitz. On it fifteen tracks, together 75 minutes with highlights such as ‘Slip Away’, ‘Powerful Thing’, ‘Dream Away’, ‘Over My Head’ and a cover of the Neil Young-classic ‘Cinnamon Girl’. Sayce is a name to be remembered in the near future.
