People who know me well, know that I know the boys of Cooper Inc. well and follow these guys from the beginning. Let me begin by saying that I scream from the rooftops for years that John Cuijpers is one of the best, if not the best singer in the Netherlands that we have walk around here and so far I have not come across another singer, who could change my mind.
As Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) a few years ago said: "Where were you when Vengeance started". Such a hell of a singer earned a couple excellent musicians around him of course to get the best out of him and fortunately he has. Bass player Matthias Rethmann, guitarist Christian Tolle and drummer Hans in 't Zandt are all very talented musicians and together they can kick a door down.
With an album like this you put The Netherlands on the map and I still find it incomprehensible that this band has not been signed by a big record label with a world wide deal so Cooper Inc. can go on tour with big names and show the world what a great band they are. Hello there, are you sleeping, wake up guys! So I have spoken!
The twelve songs on Pulling The Trigger are all of very high quality and certainly know a few highlights with pounding rock songs like Déjà Vu, Pulling the Trigger, Who Gives You The Right, Rock My World and Let Me Out. This last song appeared together with Who Is The One already on their previous EP, but are now re-recorded and put in a new jacket. Besides these fat rock songs the band shows they are home of many markets in harmonious and melodic songs.
Cooper Inc. proves the music industry- and lover a huge pleasure with this album and therefore I can not imagine that anyone has doubts about this album. Well, sometimes an album grabs you by the balls and now I listen further and rock my world!
