Published: 01 Juli 2009Releasing a perfect sounding AOR/Melodic Rock album with songs full of memorable hooklines, big guitar sounds, tasteful keyboards and a strong rhythm section, was Kurt Vereecke’s dream for many years. His dream now has become reality with the release of ‘Frozen Rain’. He took his time: already in 2001 he started with the preparations in his home studio for the first Frozen Rain-cd.
During these sessions Vereecke was delighted to work with some great musicians like Tommy Denander (Radioactive), Steve Newman (Newman) and Ollie Oldenburg (ex-Zinatra). On ‘Frozen Rain’ twelve great tracks, the most of them rocking ( ‘Waiting For You’,’Wire Of Love’, ‘Little Angel’), but there are also some fine rockballads like for instance ‘My Heart Believes It’s True’ and ‘Tomorrow’).
On his website you’ll be surprised to see a very, very long list of artists and bands who where influential, but that doesn’t really matter because all the songs are above average.
