Published: 19 April 2009Flashback Of Anger is a new band from Italy, founded in 2003 by old time friends Matteo Bonini and Antonio Sigismondi. After two demos, ‘Splinters Of Life’ is their debut album, produced in the studio of Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray) in Hamburg.
The band presents eleven tracks in 54 minutes with influences of bands like Shadow Gallery, Dream Theater, Symphony X and Pain Of Salvation. Their music is full of variety with strong powerriffs, structures from the progrockscene and a great singer.
’All I Have’ and ‘Time Can Answer’ are galloping rockers with prominent keyboards, great singing and nice hooks. With the song ‘Stars’ there even is a rockballad on the menu, that has a classical end, which is the start of the next song ‘A Void Within Me’ , that reminds me of The Scorpions.
The last track ‘Flashback Of Anger’ deserves to be mentioned too because of its obvious progrock-structure. ‘Splinters Of Life’ is a great businesscard from the Italians!
