Accept

Blood Of The Nations
Nuclear Blast

Genre: Heavy Metal

The counter is pointing the 14, 14 years it took to deliver this new album. The German band will release his 12th studio album, but the first one without Udo Dirkschneider. The vocalist of today is Mark Tornillo and also guitarist Herman Frank has joined the ranks after 26 years.
The first couple of words that goes through my mind are, was it worth it to wait 14 years till we would hear something of Accept? With whole my heart I say yes!

The power of this album is overwhelming. The band rushes in with the devastating Beat The Bastards. The riffs greet the listener with passion. After the speedy song it becomes more melodic with Teutonic Terror. The songs contain nice riffs, a raspy and powerful voice and of course very catchy parts of music. The backing vocals do a wonderful job to create a powerful atmosphere, known to power metal bands.

The title track Blood Of The Nations really is a song that should be listened. The catchy intro will suck you right into the might of the music. But as we all know, it is the chorus that will attract the right atmosphere. But is the album then all speed and power? With Shades Of Death the bands creates a dark musical kind of atmosphere and with Kill The Pain he brings in an emotional and touching ballad. But indeed, the rest is speed and power, which is also granted in Rollin Thunder, the song that brings the listener back on the fast track.

There is not much that can be said and would do the album justice. This is an album that should felt, be touched, be experienced. This is the biggest comeback Accept could have hoped for. Mission accomplished!
