NEW SABATON ALBUM DEBUTS ON TWO BILLBOARD CHARTS

Swedish epic power metal sextet SABATON have just entered the Billboard charts at #124 (Heatseekers) and #87 (Top Hard Music) with their brand new World War II-themed album, Coat Of Arms. Worldwide first-week chart entries are as follows: Sweden #4; Poland #9; Finland #17; Germany #19; Switzerland #33 and Austria #71.

En route to Frankfurt, Germany for a festival appearance, SABATON lead singer Joakim Brodén checks in from the airport in Stockholm about the band’s recent accomplishment in North America:

“Coat Of Arms keeps bringing us amazing news all the time it seems. Six Swedish heavy metal retards in camo pants on the Billboard charts? Never thought I'd see the day! I'm not sure I believe it, but if it's true, we're the happiest Swedes alive at this moment! What's next, pink aliens at Wal-Mart? Thanks to all our American brothers and sisters and cousins who actually bought our album instead of downloading it! Damn, we've just GOT to find some way to get over to America on this tour!"

The band's headlining "World War Tour" kicks off on August 27 and consists of over 60 shows in more than 20 countries. The final concert will take place on December 11, after which SABATON "will re-group, re-arm and prepare for yet another strike in 2011."
