Banda do Sol's new album already available

Tempo was mixed in USA by Billy Sherwood, ex-YES

Tempo, the new album of the Brazilian progressive rock legend BANDA DO SOL, is already available. The album was mixed in California/USA by none other than Billy Sherwood. Also known for being YES guitarist, Billy is responsable for an extensive discography as producer, including albuns from bands like Motörhead, Toto, Ratt, Paul Rodgers and YES. Billy Sherwood also released some solo works and two albuns with CONSPIRACY, a side-project with the YES bassist Chris Squire. Currently, Billy leads CIRCA, a new band formed by other YES heroes such us the drummer Alan White and the keyboardist Tony Kaye, and also the project YOSO, together with the ex-Toto vocalist Bobby Kimball.

Besides Billy's signature on the mixing, Tempo was mastered in USA by the legendary sound engineer Joe Gastwirt. High-level profissional, Joe Gastwirt has mastered albums from people like Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, Ramones, Talking Heads, The Beach Boys, Pearl Jam, Santana, Grateful Dead, Neil Young, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Miles Davis and even Michael Jackson!

Tempo brings the tracks "Som do Sol", "Voar", "Quem Eu Sou?", "Yes Blues", "Praça da Paz", "Fabito", "Maya", "Sinal da Liberdade, "Janavatar" and two live bonus tracks, "Prana" and "Mahavishnu".

About BANDA DO SOL:
With references in names like Beatles, Genesis, Yes, Supertramp, Ravi Shankar, Gentle Giant and Deep Purple, BANDA DO SOL did release its first LP in 1982, recorded in the renowned Mosh Studios in Sao Paulo/Brazil. Right after the debut release, the band split and the musicians followed playing as solo artists and other projects.
The LP turned a cult album of the Brazilian progressive rock scene.
Some time ago BANDA DO SOL reunited with two musicians from the original line-up: the experienced vocalist and guitarist Moacir Jr - who has worked with Guilherme Arantes, Walter Franco and Sa & Guarabyra - and drummer Fabio Fernandes (Lumina, Hermeto Pascoal, Rogerio Duprat). Completes the band the bassist and arranger Cesar Rodrigues (Laudany, Catavento and Sergio Brito), the guitarist Fram Simi (Paraphernalia, Baddini) and the keyboardist Allex Bessa (Rita Lee, O Terço, Sergio Dias, Tarkus, Yessongs).
