ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK UPROAR FESTIVAL COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU
New York, NY: Roadrunner Records’ artists Airbourne and Hail the Villain are very excited to be part of the first annual Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival, which begins August 17th and continues on to hit arenas and amphitheatres in over 30 cities nationwide until the tour ends on October 4th.
Uproar also features Main Stage mega-bands like Stone Sour, Disturbed, and Avenged Sevenfold; however, the real action is on the Jagermeister Stage, which will highlight Airbourne and Hail the Villain.
Airbourne’s No Guts. No Glory., released in April, triumphantly revived the debaucherous side of Rock n’ Roll, and the Aussie pub rock rebels are more than ready to share that side of themselves with Uproar. Airbourne is “glorious, mind-blowing, max-volume gold” (BBC Music), with music inspired by luminaries like Judas Priest, AC/DC and Motörhead.
Young, loud and ambitious, Hail the Villain came out of Oshawa, Ontario with the kind of fury and dedication rarely seen among artists just releasing a debut. Population: Declining (6/8) hit listeners hard; ARTISTdirect hailed the CD as “one of the most interesting and intriguing hard rock debuts in recent memory…Hail the Villain sound like the bastard sons of Metallica and My Chemical Romance.”
Hail the Villain also has a state-of-the-art interactive site (http://www.hailthevillain.com) that corresponds to the record, and will be releasing a comic book in the near future. Learn more (and hear some tunes at the website.
